Phenomenarchy: A Suggestion for Social RedesignOrganizational Behavior, Graduate School of Management, University of California, Los Angeles. Social change is most enduring when it occurs in the context of a change in a basic structural determinant. A proposal is made that with certain changes in the employment "contract," we can create conditions for new social forms that can serve a rich variety of human needs. Evidence that we have the social technologies to create communities of self-potentiating individuals is given from the author's experience in open system organizations and the use of art in low-income areas.
